Margot at The Wedding Most of the time, I can find something to like about a film-at least one thing that makes the experience tolerable if not minimally intriguing.

But twice in the last few months, I have been forced to sit through movies with virtually no redeeming qualities. The most recent was the alleged comedy Strange Wilderness, a positively abysmal production that has thankfully vanished from most theatres.

The other happened last fall, when Margot at the Wedding hit theatres for a mercifully short run. It is now on DVD, and I feel compelled to comment. Margot at the Wedding gives us wholly unlikable characters, incoherent dialogue and a baffling storyline.

And when you consider that Margot at the Wedding stars Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Jason Leigh, the act of writing, filming, producing and releasing this film borders on a criminal offense. I urge you to leave Margot standing at the altar.
