It’s the tale of two total opposites leading a band of wolves and squirrels in a spirited journey to get home in the new animated film Alpha and Omega. The movie, from Lionsgate Entertainment, opens in theatres around the country on September 17.
The story involves a pack of wolves and squirrels are uprooted from their homes in a state park by a group of park rangers who wanted the critters out. So, the packed up all the animals and took them half way across the country, to hopefully never be able to find return to the state park again.
The Omega of the story is Humphrey, an animated wolf with a wicked wit that always has his cohorts in stitches. Directly opposite is the Alpha of the group named Kate, a disciplined, attractive wolf with daring, slick moves, always trying to organize the group to do what she thinks best. You could think of Kate as the Angelina Jolie of animated wolves.
Back home, trouble is brewing amongst rival wolf packs. So, the big question is, can Humphrey and Kate survive the journey back home without driving each other crazy? And once they get there, what will they find?
Alpha and Omega is rated PG for some rude humor and mild action. Running time is 1 hour and 28 minutes.
The movie is playing in 3-D in select theaters.
